RESOLVED THAT the Minutes of the Special Council Meeting held Tuesday July 27, 2021, be approved as presented.

RESOLVED THAT Council appoint Jay Keater to the Terrace Bay Public Library Board.

RESOLVED THAT Council approve the Option 1 concept design along with the exterior site plan as designed by TBT Engineering as presented.

RESOLVED THAT Council approve the execution of an agreement under by-law entering into an agreement with Her Majesty the Queen in the right of the Province of Ontario, represented under the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP: Covid-19 Resilience Infrastructure Steam) for the Cultural Centre Boiler Replacement Project. RESOLVED THAT Council approve the Township of Terrace Bay Tourism Signage Report as presented.

RESOLVED THAT Council approve signing the Amending Agreement with Automotive Materials to continue to receive payments for the collection of automotive materials (antifreeze, oil containers, oil filters) and that the appropriate by-law be brought forward.

RESOLVED THAT the Council approve the Payroll Register for June 2021 Pay Period 12 & 13 in the amount of $81,730.39 be approved.

RESOLVED THAT the Council approve the Payroll Register for July 2021 Pay Period 14 & 15 in the amount of $93,224.59 be approved.

RESOLVED THAT Council approve the General Disbursements for the month ending July 31, 2021, batch numbers #73, 75, 77, 78, & 81-2021 in the amount of $436,203.04

RESOLVED THAT Council confirm the attendance of the Mayor to the Centennial Anniversary of the Town of Hearst Homecoming Banquet on July 2, 2022.

RESOLVED THAT WHEREAS by the virtue of the Franco-Ontarian Day Act, which was legislated on April 26th, 2010, it is declared that September 25th of each year be recognised as Franco-Ontarian Day throughout the province of Ontario; and WHEREAS September 25th is the anniversary of the first raising of the Franco-Ontarian flag and it represents over 400 years of French presence in Ontario; and WHEREAS there are more than 745 000 Francophones in Ontario, the largest Francophone community outside of Quebec; and WHEREAS Franco-Ontarian Day has become an annual occasion to celebrate the Francophone Community: NOW THEREFORE, I, Jody Davis, by the virtue of the power vested in me as Mayor of the Municipality of Terrace Bay, do hereby proclaim September 25th of each year as FRANCO-ONTARIAN DAY and join the Francophone Community of Terrace Bay in celebrating its exceptional contribution to Ontario’s growth and prosperity.

RESOLVED THAT Council approve the request of the Superior North Shore Power and Sail Squadron and that Administration be directed to bring back a report, including any applicable draft by-laws for implementation of speed restrictions on the Aguasabon River from the community docks to Lake Superior.

RESOLVED THAT A by-law to enter into a Transfer Payment Agreement (ICIP) - COVID-19 Resilience Infrastructure Stream (Boiler Replacement) with the Township of Terrace Bay be read a first, second and third time and finally passed, signed by the Mayor and Clerk, sealed and numbered on this 16th day of August 2021.

RESOLVED THAT A Bylaw to set Tax Ratios and Reductions for prescribed property subclasses for 2021 Taxation Year with the Township of Terrace Bay be read a first, second and third time and finally passed, signed by the Mayor and Clerk, sealed and numbered on this 16th day of August 2021.

RESOLVED THAT Council proceed in camera in order to address a matter pertaining to: One (1) item with respect to advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose; Re: Property dispute related to municipal utilities. RESOLVED THAT the in-camera session adjourn to open Council meeting.
